Quality Assurance From A-Z

Translation

Getting your message to your target audience requires a quality translation. Our reliable and professional translators will listen and grasp the mannerisms and language used in videos, before translating it into your target language. Often, we consult with subject matter experts in your organization and use a glossary of past translations to ensure the messaging is properly communicated.

Localization

Due to various dialects and the use of standardized language for formal and informal situations, translating videos into the target language based on the target demographic (known as localization) is essential. Our translators will use audio transcription and appropriate regional expressions and terms to ensure your audience understands messages clearly and concisely.

Multiligual Subtitles Translation

When producing subtitles in multiple languages, or translating subtitles, a specific method of translation must be done in order to align with the speakers. A translator must choose specific translations in order to ensure the written words aren’t too lengthy or hard to read. In addition, the words need to stay on the screen long enough for a person reading them to be able to read in a timely manner. This process requires forethought and practice. This also means that the subtitles and voice actor lines may not align.

Multilingual Voice Acting

Once the translation component is completed, it is sent to a Voice Actor who will provide the dubbing service. They then watch the original video/movie and begin to formulate how they will dub over the existing audio track(s). When doing so, they take into account variation in tone, emotion, context and culture. Voice acting is a skill that requires years of training and practice to perfect. Our highly skilled team of voice actors have the ability to adapt their speaking style to that of the original speaker. As a client, you are welcome to listen to a variety of actors and select which voice or voices you prefer for your video before beginning the voice dubbing process.

Flexible Turnaround Times

Certified Video Translator

Adopting leading-edge technology that gives our clients an advantage is one of our core values at Languages in Motion. We streamline our video translation services and translation services in Canada with a customer portal for all uploads and project monitoring, saving you time, resources, and money. Just upload or send us your video file, choose your target language and deadline. It’s that easy with us.

Videos range from short, 1 minute commercials to 2+ hour long training videos. This all affects the turnaround time. As a standard, we look at the minute. Generally, a 1-10 minute video will require about 3-4 business days. A 2 hour video will require approximately 1 week.

The team at LiM has the ability to deliver video translation requests in less than 24 hours for videos up to 10 minutes. However, unless there is a process in place (we have worked with your organization previously for the same service), the quality may suffer as we will need to pair your video with a new team. We recommend that if you will be requiring video translations on short notice, that we come to an understanding of a joint process before the requests are made so we can ensure that your work is being allocated quickly and efficiently.

financial translation

Subtitle translations are very common for most video translation files, and you would have seen it in most foreign movies. It occurs when video and audio play as-is in the source language with a translated text overlapping it. While less complicated to execute, subtitled translations through video translation services can distract audiences, as they will be paying attention to the visual instruction instead of what is occurring in the video.

Voice dubbing translations are when the audio of videos are converted from one language to another (eg. English videos are converted into Spanish, or vice versa). The main difference compared to subtitles is that a voice actor is involved and will be working from a translated script. The tone and pace of the speakers must be taken into account to ensure the message is delivered correctly. In many cases, voice dubbing is considered the optimal option as the messaging is specifically curated for a target audience.

Yes, we do,depending on the scenario. Firstly, we integrate our clients with the most effective translation management system available today. Secondly, while machine translation is getting better every day, to ensure 100% accuracy and translation, we always have our translations produced and reviewed by a qualified human translator. Translation systems, such as Google Translate, are constantly improving but are not ideal to rely on for professional translations as they do not take important factors such as register, cultural sensitivity, locale, demographics etc. into consideration.
