Certification & Recognition

Some key points to know since we briefly discussed this topic.

Certification is handled differently in each province (e.g., ATIA in Alberta, STIBC in BC, ATIO in Ontario, OTTIAQ in Quebec, etc.).

  • Our courses are widely recognized for professional development and continuing education hours and by many provincial and federal bodies, but interpreters should confirm with their local association.
