Interpreting over Video
Preparation
To ensure the best possible video quality, please review the following guidelines to prepare for a video call with an interpreter:
- Microphone and Webcam check
- Working internet connection
- All LISA video calls are routed through the internet – to optimize your experience, try to use an Ethernet connection physically wired to your computer instead of Wi-Fi
- Bandwidth
- 2 Mbps upstream/downstream strongly recommended
- Minimum 1 Mbps upstream/downstream supported
Calling an Interpreter over Video
Once preparations have been made, you can click on the Mic icon on the top right in the LISA platform
The caller operates similarly to the mobile app, follow the steps below to start the video call:
- Select the language combination to be interpret to/from
- Select the call type (Legal, medical, court..etc)
- Select the icon on the right for Video
- Click on Call to begin connecting to an interpreter for a video call
