Listen to talk radio

You probably have heard that immersion is the best way to learn a language. Well, if you’re just starting out, turn on a satellite radio station in the language you want to learn and start listening. After a while you’ll get better at picking out the sounds. This will make learning a lot easier!

http://www.shoutcast.com/ is free!

All you do is search “Arabic News” or “Spanish Talk Radio” and you’re set.

You can even add it as an app on your phone.

While you’re listening, here’s a few things to consider…

When you hear a new song for the first time, are you able to memorize all of the words, instruments, key changes and little details that make the song so unique? Most likely not unless you are trained to hear it; even then, it will still take more than one listening.

The same goes for language learning. The first time you hear a new sound, your brain doesn’t recognize every little detail, but after repetition and exposure, you begin to learn the sounds of the language the same way you learn the sounds of a song.

Be sure to try and vocalize along with the speaker and pronounce what they’re pronouncing. That will advance the learning process as well.

Happy Language learning!

We have technicians on staff that are able to take your document from its original form, whether that’s in .psd, .ai, .doc, .pdf, .xls, and more and give you the translated result exactly as you want it – the way it should appear in the target language(s). We also understand that at times, formats may need to be adjusted. In this case, we speak with you directly so we can respect the original idea and message.

Do your translators/interpreters tend to specialize in one direction of language?

Yes they do! In fact experience has shown that when a translator/interpreter focuses on developing only one direction of translating/interpreting i.e. English into French, they are much more capable, specialized and professional. You will notice that the more seasoned a translator is, the more often they tend to translate in one single direction. The next time you run into a translator that has been translating for over 15 years, ask them how many languages they translate and in which direction. You’ll be surprised to find that the majority of specialized translators only translate in one direction or two at best!

To answer the question more directly, yes our translators are specifically certified in one direction. For example: Susan is certified to translate & interpret Mandarin to English; June is certified to translate from English into Mandarin; and Feng is certified to translate from English to Mandarin and from Mandarin into English.

Yes we will, in fact, we must. Since the original signature and stamp is needed to verify that the translation was done by a certified translator, your certified document will have the original signature and stamp of the translator. If you do not require government authorization for your translation, it isn’t necessary to send a copy in the mail, however, we will do so upon request.

Absolutely. All of our translators & interpreters are certified with a third party-government commissioned organization called CTTIC. Each translator/interpreter must have an already established portfolio, education in translation/interpretation and complete a challenging examination in order to become an affiliate member. They then must complete another test in order to be accredited ‘certified status’. Our certified translators are recognized by government officials and our certified translations take place of the need to have a document notarized.
